Healthy Air Fryer Asparagus
Once you’ve air fried asparagus, you might not want to do it any other way. It’s simple, quick and a perfect vegetable side dish. The hot circulating air fo the air fryer cooks the asparagus perfectly and evenly. If you like it a little crispy, just cook it for a little longer. If you prefer your asparagus a little more juicy and tender, cook it for less! There’s something for everyone here and we’ve obsessed with the flavors. It’s so quick to eat vegetables all thanks to air frying!
Perfect for Holidays and Healthy Eating
Asparagus in the air fryer gives the same texture as roasting, but it’s so much quicker when the asparagus is air fried. Eat it when you’re wanting a low carb or low calorie vegetable. And best of all, this is perfect for Holidays! It’s a great way to serve this as a side dish with your Christmas or Thanksgiving menu. It doesn’t take up oven or stove top space. If you have a larger air fryer, you an easily cook enough asparagus or other vzgeadl side dish to feed 6-8. That makes life easier when you’re cooking for large groups or holiday gatherings!
- 1 pound fresh asparagus , ends trimmed
- Oil spray or olive oil
- salt , to taste
- black pepper , to taste
Coat the asparagus with oil spray or olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Lay the asparagus evenly in the air fryer basket. Make sure to coat the asparagus tips so they don’t burn or dry out too fast. It is best to season before you put in the air fryer basket. Too much excess salt in the air fryer baskets will often start to break down with coating.
Air Fry at 380°F for 7-10 minutes, depending on thickness, shake and turn asparagus halfway through cooking.
Taste for seasoning & tenderness, then serve.
